On Jan 10, 2018, the 'Vierwaldstättersee' allided with the a pillar of the Mosel bridge at Thörnich. The unlaoded ship hit the left side pillar with its port side, only one week after alliding with a bridge at Schweich. The water police Trier detained the ship. Experts investigated the bridge which suffered damage to its concrete. Also the barge suffered hull damage.
