Almost three months after the sinking of 'Seikongen' off the Pilpilehue coast in Chonchi, refloating work could start next week. There were still 1500 dead salmon inside the wellboatwhich was submerged with a load of 200 tons of fish and 60 cubic meters of oil. The salvage will be carried out with the fish inside and could last about a month and a half. For the time being, inspections were carried out on the ship to verify that there was no damage to its structure. Once refloated, it will remain in the hands of the owner to continue with the investigation to establish the cause of the sinking.
