In the afternoon of July 8, 2018, a pleasure boat with one person on board suffered water ingress and an engine failure on the Lang Fjord between Sølsnes and Åfarnes. The fire brigade in Molde was alerted, but the 'Stryn' was nearby and took the boat in tow towards Åfarnes. The sailings at 12.05 p.m. from Sølsnes and at 12.25 p.m. from Åfarnes were cancelled due to the rescue operation.
