The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the latest activity report regarding military operations in Ukraine for the past week.
The ministry reported that during the attacks carried out between August 1-7, the port infrastructures and naval elements used by the Ukrainian army were targeted.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that a total of 34 vessels were struck in these operations, including 31 bulk carriers and 3 tugboats.
In a statement made by Russia, it was alleged that 8 settlements in Ukraine came under the control of the Russian army within the last week.
The statement indicated that the settlements mentioned as having been captured include Bakşeyevka, Belıy Kolodez, Ustinovka, Aniskino, and Olgovka in the Kharkiv region; Rıjevka in the Sumy region; and Lyubitskoye and Zarnitsa in the Zaporizhia region.
The Russian Ministry of Defense argued that the operations in these areas aimed to reduce the military capacity of the Ukrainian army.
The war between Russia and Ukraine continues following the large-scale attacks that began in February 2022.
