RMK Yachts has strengthened its claim in the explorer yacht segment with the new 50-meter expedition superyacht project, Project Petra. The shipyard has shared details of this new concept, which stands out with its long-range cruising capability and adaptable structure for different lifestyles, with the public.

A more comprehensive and official introduction of the project to the industry and the public is planned to take place at the Turkish Airlines Open gala night, scheduled for April 28, 2026, in Antalya.

Developed in collaboration with the Italian design office Hot Lab, Project Petra offers three different living concepts on the same platform. The project aims to appeal to both luxury comfort seekers and adventure-focused sailors with its flexible structure shaped according to user needs.

Three different usage scenarios

The version of Project Petra named Aura focuses on social living spaces and hosting guests, while the Core option stands out with its family use and privacy-oriented planning. The Infinite version, designed with a more exploration-focused approach, includes features such as a helicopter pad, hybrid propulsion system option, and increased carrying capacity.

Long range and strong performance

The yacht, planned to be built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, is expected to achieve a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles. The maximum speed is anticipated to be around 16 knots. The spacious aft deck area, tender garage, and beach club arrangement are also among the prominent elements of the project.

A new showcase for Turkish yacht construction

Project Petra is expected to be one of the strategic projects that will strengthen RMK Yachts' position in the international market. The new concept aims to once again highlight the design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities of the Turkish yacht construction industry in the global market.
