Regional Container Line suffers US$1.3 million loss as revenues rise 2.8pc

THAILAND's Regional Container Line (RCL) posted a second quarter net loss of THB43 million (US$1.3 million), drawn on revenues of THB2.9 billion, up 2.8 per cent year on year The company said the downturn in profit was fueled by the unfavourable freight environment and higher bunker costs.

RCL saw bunker costs for the quarter jump 31.7 per cent year on year and 5.5 per cent quarter to quarter.
