The 'Nissos Chios' suffered a damage to the ramp in the evening of Aug 18, 2018, when leaving the port of Chios during its scheduled service from Piraeus to Chios. The Central Port Authority of Chios initially detained the ship. After the damage was repaired and a certificate of the classification society was presented, it was allowed to sail again at 10.30 p.m. instead of 8.45 p.m.
