    The 'Arica' suffered a propulsion failure in the St. Lawrence River, in position 46 28 10.4 N, 72 14 42.4 W, on July 4 at 11.38 p.m. The vessel anchored 1,5 miles south-southeast of Batiscan, Quebec. The crew carried out the repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage.
