The company was honoured for its efforts towards Achieving Excellence through Ethical Recruitment in the Service of Overseas Filipino Workers at an award ceremony held at Malacanang Place and attended by Philippine President Benigno Aquino.
The accolade is given to companies that earn high evaluations for expanding overseas employment opportunities for Filipino workers, service quality, compliance, leadership and corporate social responsibility (CSR), a statement from MOL said.
Magsaysay-MOL received recognition for its efforts to promote transparency and accountability and for its high standards of "ethical recruitment and deployment of Filipino workers for overseas employment", it said.
"The MOL Group continually strives to provide a pleasant working environment for all employees including Filipino seafarers, while providing ample opportunity for education and training," the release added.
