In the early morning of June 21, 2018, the Port Authority of Patmos informed that an 81-year-old passenger of the 'Blue Star 2' has lost consciousness during the scheduled sailing from Piraeus to Rhodes. A doctor on board declared the victim dead. A pre-trial was conducted by the Port Authority of Leros.
