Participation in NATO manoever cancelled after allision

In the evening of March 16, 2017, the "Frankfurt am Main“ suffered damage in an allision upon entering the base in Wilhelmshaven. The ship was returning from a training trip at 9.45 p.m. and touched the wall of the lock island with the stern. While the concrete structure suffered only slight damage, the stern of the vessel was affected more significantly. The damage was to be assessed during the forthcoming days. The shp had to cancel its participation in the NATO-manoever "Joint Warrior".
