The 'Aquarius 2', which carries on board 58 rescued migrants, has been refused to dock in Marseille. The French finance minister Brune Le Maire claimed that rescue ships would have to sail to the nearest safe port in accordance with European rules which Marseille was not. Nearer ports were in Italy or Malta. Europe Minister Nathalie Loiseau criticized the government in Rome sharp for closing its ports for people in need which violates law and humanity.
