MICROSOFT Research Asia (MSRA) and Hong Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has signed a deal to apply artificial intelligence (AI) research in the shipping line's digital transformation.
The objective is to use AI deep and reinforcement learning to optimise existing shipping operations. As current research and development topic, joint efforts are required from top researchers and domain experts for business impact validation.
In this partnership, MSRA will also collaborate with OOCL to groom AI engineering talents in Hong Kong, said the Microsaft statement.
