PORT Sultan Qaboos, the largest port in Muscat, Oman, will be closed over the weekend and all operations will be performed under overtime, after the government announced that weekend holidays will change to Friday and Saturday, effective May 1.
As a result of the move, Customs & Immigration will be closed over the weekend, but officers will see to vessel clearances as usual, reports GAC Hot Port News. All public and private sector offices will be closed on Friday and Saturdays as well.
