New ship for the UN Ro-Ro Maritime Service between France and Turkey: the new vessel "Cemil Bayülgen" will start sailing on Sept. 12, providing improved services between Pendik, Ambarli and Marseille.

On September 12, 2010, the regular Maritime Service UN Ro-Ro between France and Turkey, which was launched last July, will be powered with two calls a week on Wednesdays and Sundays through the release of a second ro-ship that is 193 m long and has nearly 4,000 linear feet of capacity. Freshly come out of shipyards, the new vessel "Cemil Bayülgen" will sail side by side with "UND Birlik" and will provide improved service to motor carriers between Pendik, Ambarli and Marseille. UN Ro-Ro has been present in Trieste since 1993, and in recent years has been searching another way out for its trucks. This maritime service only carries the trucks. The drivers travel by plane and once in Marseille they recover the trucks to deliver the goods to the Benelux countries, Spain and Portugal. UN Ro-Ro (a subsidiary of the U.S. fund KKR since 2007) has an annual traffic of 20,000 to 30,000 trucks.
