The 'Renate' will not arrive in Kelheim this week
The 'Renate' will not arrive in Kelheim this week. The excursion boat was berthed with a faulty drive pump in the port in Bingen upon Rhine on Aug 7, 2018. Before the ship may continue, the damage must first be remedied. Several times the delivery voyage had already been postponed since spring. In the afternoon of Aug 4, the new building finally started from the shipyard in Oberwinter towards Lower Bavaria. On Aug 5, the damage occurred on one of the two drive pumps which had overheated. Six people were on board at that time. The ship was directly taken to a dock and towed to Bingen in the course of Aug 7.
