THE new passenger terminal at Duqm Airport is to start operations in the second half of the year after the testing phase is completed. Minister of Transport Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi made the comments during his visit to the passenger terminal. He was accompanied by Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) CEO Dr Mohammed bin Nasser Al Za'abi, officials and specialists at the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The delegates toured the passenger terminal, the air cargo building, the air traffic complex and air traffic control (ATC) tower to ensure readiness of all systems, Times of Oman reported.
'Ninety-six per cent of the project has been already completed, which means that the project is in the finishing stage and system commissioning,' said Mr Al Futaisi.
