The Bodrum National Real Estate Directorate will auction the MV Ocean Blue cargo ship on February 19, 2026, with an estimated price of 15 million TL.
The Bodrum National Estate Directorate announced that it will hold an important sales tender under Law No. 2886 on Public Procurement. In the official announcement, it was stated that the general cargo (dry cargo) vessel named 'MV OCEAN BLUE' will be sold by open bidding.
The estimated sale price for the vessel has been announced as 15 million 50 thousand TL, and the tender will take place on February 19, 2026, in Bodrum. The sales announcement, which draws attention in the energy, maritime, and transportation sectors, also shared details regarding the technical specifications of the vessel, application conditions, and the tender process.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE VESSEL ANNOUNCED
It was stated that the movable asset being sold is a general cargo (dry cargo) vessel and that it is registered under the name 'MV OCEAN BLUE.' The vessel is equipped with a Wartsila Diesel 6R32D model engine, with a declared power of 2250 KW. The vessel measures 93.3 meters in length and 15.45 meters in width, and it is indicated to be in 'operational condition with repairs.'
According to the information in the tender announcement, the vessel will be offered for sale in its current condition on the date of the tender. It was also announced that the administration will not assume responsibility for the technical condition of the movable asset or for any damages that may occur in the future.
TENDER DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION CONFIRMED
The tender to be conducted by the Bodrum National Estate Directorate will take place on February 19, 2026, at 14:30. The tender commission will convene at the Government Building in the Çarşı neighborhood of Bodrum/Mugla. It was stated that the tender will be conducted by open bidding in accordance with Article 45 of Law No. 2886. Real and legal persons wishing to participate in the tender must submit the required documents to the commission before the specified date and time.
TEMPORARY GUARANTEE AND ESTIMATED SALE PRICE DETAILS
The estimated sale price for the vessel being offered for sale has been set at 15,050,000 TL, while the temporary guarantee amount has been announced as 4,515,000 TL. It was stated that the temporary guarantee can be deposited in Turkish currency in circulation or through indefinite guarantee letters issued by deposit banks. Cash guarantees must be transferred to the Treasury Undersecretariat's Internal Payments Accounting Department account via Ziraat Bank, and the receipt must be presented during the tender.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE TENDER AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Participants in the tender are required to submit proof of legal residence, a declaration of a notification address in Turkey, and identification information. Real persons must apply with their Turkish ID number and a copy of their identity card, while legal entities will present their tax identification number along with the necessary authorization documents. Private law legal entities must also submit a current registration certificate obtained from the chamber of commerce or industry and documents proving their representation authority to the commission. It is mandatory for the submitted documents to be originals or notarized copies.
HOW TO APPLY?
Bids must be delivered to the commission presidency by the time of the tender. Applications can be submitted in person or sent by mail. However, it was emphasized that the tender commission will not be responsible for delays in mail. Those wishing to participate in the tender must prepare the required documents completely and submit them before the specified time. It was stated that applications arriving late will be excluded from evaluation.
PAYMENT AND DELIVERY PROCESS AFTER SALE
The successful bidder who has the right to purchase the vessel must pay the sale price in full within 15 days following the notification. Additionally, the buyer will be responsible for a parking fee amounting to 25% of the sale price. The sale transaction is exempt from VAT, while the buyer will be responsible for the stamp duty. All processes and expenses related to delivery and post-delivery will also be borne by the buyer.
LOCATION OF THE VESSEL AND INSPECTION DETAILS
It was announced that the vessel being offered for sale is located in the sea at the Güllük area of Milas, Muğla, and is kept under the custody of Akyaz Yediemin Depot. Interested parties can obtain the specifications and detailed information free of charge from the Bodrum National Estate Directorate during working hours. The announcement also stated that no assessment has been made regarding the vessel's docking registry suitability, and the administration will not accept responsibility if the docking registry cannot be arranged after the sale.
