THE Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) will apply a 'bunker recovery cost surcharge' from April 1 on cargo from Australia, Noumea and New Zealand to the US, the company announced. 'As we continue to monitor the bunker cost, the surcharge will be applicable for Australia, Noumea and New Zealand to US effective April 1 will be US$327 per TEU on dry cargo and $491 TEU for reefer boxes.
