GENEVA-based Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) will add the Port of Savannah to its Golden Gate service between Asia and the US east coast to transit via the Suez Canal in both directions from January 4.
GENEVA-based Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) will add the Port of Savannah to its Golden Gate service between Asia and the US east coast to transit via the Suez Canal in both directions from January 4.
The addition will alter the US east coast order of calls with Norfolk last rather than Charleston, reported ComPair Data.
The service will deploy 12 vessels of an average capacity of 7,998 TEU on the following rotation: Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Shenzhen-Yantian, Singapore, Salalah, New York, Baltimore, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, Freeport, Jeddah, Colombo, Singapore, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Hong Kong and back to Ningbo.
