New footage reveals the Ata Voyager's drone strike near Odessa, injuring a crew member as tensions escalate in the region.

On January 12, footage emerged showing the moments when the Panama-flagged vessel 'Ata Voyager,' owned by a Turkish company, was struck by a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack while approaching to load grain near the port of Odessa, Ukraine.

The footage, captured by security cameras on the ship, shows the moment of the explosion as it was reported to be approaching the port to take on grain. In a statement made by the Ukrainian Navy on January 12 regarding the attack, it was stated, 'The enemy attempted attacks on the port in the Odessa region throughout the day. The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 6 out of 8 UAVs, 2 of which were seized over civilian vessels.'

As a result of the attack, a crew member aboard the 'Ata Voyager' was injured, and necessary medical intervention was provided to the wounded individual. The injured sailor was later transferred to healthcare facilities in the city of Odessa by the Ukrainian Navy.

The Ukrainian Navy also reported that the San Marino-flagged vessel 'Blue Bead,' which was carrying grain, was targeted in the attacks.
