MOL raises rates on intra-Asia routes to Indonesia, Myanmar

JAPAN's largest ocean carrier MOL has imposed a rate Restoration (RR) of US$50 per TEU and US$100 per FEU container for inbound intra-Asia traffic from all areas other than Japan to Indonesia and Myanmar since June 1.

Equivalent rate restoration amounts have also been applied to exports from Japan to Indonesia and Myanmar, with effect from the same date.

The company said in a statement it decided to implement the rate restoration due to "strong demand and rising costs."
