Menzies Aviation integrates Air Menzies International to enhance freight forwarding services, maintaining brand strength and expanding global reach.
Ground handler Menzies Aviation is integrating its freight forwarding subsidiary, Air Menzies International (AMI), to broaden its services, as reported by London's Air Cargo News.
AMI, which provides wholesale air freight services, will continue to operate under its own brand but will become part of Menzies Aviation Cargo, led by Beau Paine, executive vice president of cargo. Carlos Font, currently the executive vice president of AMI, will be leaving the business.
The integration follows a strategic review conducted by Menzies' executive management board. Mr. Paine stated that combining AMI's forwarding expertise with Menzies' scale would provide airline partners and customers with a unique service offering.
Group chief executive Philipp Joeinig emphasized that AMI's neutrality and brand strength would remain unchanged. Joining Menzies Cargo would enable teams to leverage a broader global network and shared expertise.
The company noted that Font had advanced AMI's digital solutions and expanded its network into major trade lanes. Menzies Aviation currently operates in 347 airports across 65 countries.
