The 'Caldera Vista' suffered a mechanical damage in the morning of July 2, 2018, off Santorini. The ship managed to enter Athinios port where the 393 passengers were safely dropped off. The ship was detained until repairs were carried out, and stayed sidleined for about eight hours before returning to Heraklion around 9 p.m. The ferry was operating on a route from Heraklion to Thira, Mykonos and Tinos.
