On Aug 28, 2018, at midday, the 'Flying Dolphin' with 109 passengers on board suffered a mechanical damage while sailing from Piraeus to Hydra - Ermioni - Spetses - P. Heli and return. The port authority of Poros was informed that while the ferry was sailing to Aegina, a malfunction of the lifting system occurred. The ship continued to sail at a conventional speed to Poros port because of the proximity. The passengers were safely disembarked and sent to their destination on behalf of the shipowner. The port authority of Poros detained the ship until the class certificate was provided by the relevant classification society.
