Marmaris Port hosts three large cruise ships this week, enhancing tourism and local business activity significantly.
A significant movement has come to Marmaris tourism from the sea. Marmaris Port, which is considered one of the world's safest harbors, is hosting three giant cruise ships this week. While thousands of tourists are expected to arrive in the district, they are anticipated to create congestion in the market and tourist areas. Local tradespeople have expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing activity.
With the addition of two large ships this week to the regular cruise ships that arrive in Marmaris every Tuesday, there has been a noticeable increase in activity in the market, marina, and tourist areas of the district.
The 'MSC Divina' cruise ship, belonging to MSC Cruises, docked at Marmaris Port with 4,900 passengers and crew, while the 'Mein Schiff 5' cruise ship brought approximately 3,500 passengers and crew.
The last cruise ship of the week, the 'Seven Seas Splendor,' is scheduled to arrive in Marmaris on Saturday, May 30. It has been reported that the ship, which will dock in the morning hours, carries about 1,300 passengers and crew.
It has been observed that cruise tourists are particularly creating a crowd in Marmaris Market, the marina, and historical areas. Local tradespeople have stated that they are pleased with the ongoing activity. It is expected that the number of cruise operations will continue to increase in the later periods of the season.
