The Ministry of Transport unveils a digital platform for streamlined maritime payments, eliminating C Codes and bank queues.

New Era in Maritime Payments: C Code and Bank Queues Come to an End

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is transitioning payment processes in the maritime sector to a digital platform. With the new system, citizens and industry representatives will be able to track maritime payments through a single platform, allowing them to complete transactions more quickly.

A new era is beginning in the payment processes for maritime services. Previously, citizens had to obtain a C Code from the system and visit a bank branch to complete payment transactions; now, they will be able to conduct their transactions online.

Through the platform launched by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, odemeler.uab.gov.tr, payment transactions related to maritime activities can be monitored from a single point.

All payments on a single screen

With the new application, users will be able to view the payment processes related to maritime services electronically and carry out the necessary transactions through the system.

The system developed within the framework of the Ministry's digital service infrastructure aims to facilitate faster and easier execution of payment processes for port operations, crew transactions, and other maritime services.

How did the C Code system work?

Previously, for some maritime fees and service payments, users would create a transaction on odemeler.uab.gov.tr to obtain a C Code, and then make the payment through a bank channel using that code. In some cases, additional transactions had to be conducted through bank branches or banking channels.

The new digital structure aims to create a more integrated payment process.

Digital Transformation in Maritime Sector Accelerates

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has been expanding electronic application and tracking systems in maritime services recently. Many transactions have been transitioned to digital platforms through e-Maritime applications offered via e-Government and the online services of the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs.

The new payment infrastructure is also expected to reduce transaction times in the maritime sector and simplify bureaucratic processes for citizens and industry workers.
