    Passenger ro/ro Andros Jet (2695 gt, built 1997), while preparing to depart from the port of Syros, Greece, on its scheduled service, experienced a malfunction in the starboard main engine, at 1200 hrs, Oct 2. The Port Authority of Syros conducted a preliminary investigation and detained the vessel in port until the engine was repaired and a class survey certificate was issued. The 59 passengers on board were disembarked and transported to their destinations by another vessel. -
