In November 2025, Malaysia's trade surplus widened as exports surged, driven by electrical products, palm oil, and petroleum, reports Bernama.

Malaysia's trade surplus expanded in November 2025, with exports significantly outpacing imports, according to reports from Bernama.

The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry noted that exports increased due to stronger shipments of electrical and electronic products, palm oil, and petroleum.

Imports also rose, fueled by higher purchases of intermediate goods and capital equipment, reflecting robust domestic demand.

This monthly surplus highlights Malaysia's role as a key regional trading hub, supported by diversified export markets and consistent industrial output.

Officials indicated that the country is on track to achieve its full-year trade targets, with external demand anticipated to remain strong despite global uncertainties.
