While towing the floating dock 'Al Fathan 10', a tug lost the dock which ran ashore near Neerkunnam in Ambalappuzha. An Indonesian man an a woman were hoisted to safety by a helicopter of the Naval Air Squadron 322 of the Indian Navy despite strong rain and heavy wind. They were taken to Kochi aboard the INS 'Garuda'. The drifting tug was taken in tow by the Malabar' and berthed in Kochi meanwhile. Tugs were being sought in nearby ports as there were no suitable in Kochi. The dock was underway from Sabang to Abu Dhabi when it broke lose on July 16, 2018, and drifted southwards.
