    On Jan 13, 2018, at 08.17 a.m. the 'Salahuddin', en route from Shanghai to Rotterdam with a crew of 26 on board, experienced a main engine electrical fault and was drifting easterly at three knots,in position lat 50 06 51N, long 001 55 51W, about 30 miles SE of Portland. The vessel was carrying general cargo 117908.5 kilograms of dangerous cargo classes 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, .1, 8, 9 and as bunkers carrying 955.8 metric tonnes of high sulphur heavy fuel oil, 370.6 metric tonnes of low sulphur heavy fuel and 316.5 metric tonnes of diesel oil. The vessel successfully completed repair works within 45 minutes and resumed the voyage to Rotterdam where she berthed at the ECT Delta Container Terminal in the Amazone Port on Jan 14 at 3 a.m.
