    MAERSK Line will increase rates for dry shipments on its trade from the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent to East Africa starting June 1.

    Maersk to raise intra-Asia, Mideast, East Africa Med rates from June MAERSK Line will increase rates for dry shipments on its trade from the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent to East Africa starting June 1.

    From the United Arab Emirates and Oman to Djibouti, the increase will be US$100 per TEU and $200 per FEU and 40-foot high-cube.

    From the UAE and Oman to Sudan, the increase will be EUR75 (US$98) per TEU and EUR150 ($196) per FEU and 40-foot high-cube.

    Rates will also increase for dry and refrigerated cargo on its trade from the Far East, excluding Japan, to the Mediterranean from June 1.

    From the Far East to the Mediterranean, excluding Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria and Georgia, the increase will be $750 per TEU and $1,500 per FEU and 45-foot container.

    From the Far East to Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria and Georgia, the increase will be $500 per TEU and $1,000 per FEU and 45-foot container.

    From the Far East to Syria, the boost will be $575 per TEU and $1,150 per FEU and 45-foot container.
