The 'Britta K' which remained anchored in Ajaccio Bay, was subject pf a sanitary and mechanical inspection on Sep 4. In spite of the damage, the controllers noted a good general condition of the vessel and the presence of up-to-date documents. The health situation has also been judged as satisfactory by the veterinarian. The cattle were being in a good state of health without any trace of suffering or malnutrition. The shipowner indicated that he was going to tow the vessel to Beirut. In the meantime he takes care of the animals. The Maritime Prefect gave an agreement on the plan presented by the owner.
