Lightering of the 'Chrstiane Deymann 1' was delayed on July 12 as larger amounts of gravel had built up around the gronuded ship so that it could not be unloaded. First 400 tons of gravel had to be removed. The gravel had amounted during the failed attempts of the master to get off. Only at 2.30 p.m. the first steel coil could be removed from the cargo hold.
