The Port Authority of Cephalonia island was notified by the captain of the 'Vikentios Damodos' in the evening of Aug 28, 2018, that on its scheduled route from Argostoli to Lixouri, Cephalonia, there was a cooling water leakage at the starboard side main engine. After arrival in Cephalonia port inspectors found the damage, and the Port Authority banned the ship from sailing until repairs were carried out and certified by the attending the ship classification society.
