The LDR Yaşar, attacked by drones in the Black Sea, arrives safely at Samsun Port with no casualties among the crew.

The Turkish container ship named 'LDR Yaşar,' which was attacked by a drone in international waters in the Black Sea, has been brought to Samsun Port. The attack caused significant material damage to various parts of the ship, but there were no fatalities or injuries among the crew.

The container ship 'LDR Yaşar,' which was en route from Istanbul to unload cargo at Russia's Novorossiysk Port, was subjected to a drone attack in international waters in the Black Sea. Following the attack, the Turkish ship was towed by another vessel and safely reached Samsun Port. Damage occurred due to drones hitting various sections of the ship, and a fire that broke out was extinguished with the intervention of the ship's personnel. It was reported that there were no casualties or injuries during the attack on the ship, which was carrying 160 containers.

'We were subjected to 3 drone attacks'

Speaking at Samsun Port, Aykan Üçüncü, a member of the Board of Directors of Lider Shipping, stated that the attack took place in international waters. Üçüncü said, 'We faced a drone attack 2 days ago. Recently, ships have been subjected to such attacks. We also experienced such an incident. First of all, I would like to extend my best wishes to all seafarers.'

'Our personnel fought until the last moment'

Emphasizing that drone attacks have a serious impact on the private sector, Üçüncü thanked the ship's personnel. He stated, 'Our personnel are brave and fearless. They fought until the last moment during the fire extinguishing and throughout the operation. I thank them all.'
