KERRY Logistics and Brazilian supply chain specialist Nelson Heusi Group have entered into a partnership to bolster Kerry's operations in South America. Joint revenues are expected to top US$267 million within five years, reported UK's The Loadstar. Kerry Logistics will be seeking to tap into the 86-year history of import and export activities of Brazil's largest customs clearance company, handling 25,000 TEU per month from 16 offices nationwide.
The Hong Kong 3PL said: 'Nelson Heusi has a strong presence with large multinationals in various industrial and consumption goods sectors.'
This is the second joint-venture in as many months for Hong Kong's Kerry Logistics, following a deal with e-commerce fulfilment specialist E-Services Group (ESG) which began this month, forming part of the third-party logistics provider's (3PL) plans to expand its online business.
Group managing director William Ma said of that deal: 'We are creating a platform with total solutions from upstream marketing to downstream logistics that will capitalise on the booming international marketplace model to facilitate the exports for our international brand customers.'
