The 'Orange Sun' had a near miss with a pier and small boats, which were scattered around, while leaving Santos in the afternoon of July 19, 2018, in dense fog, bound to Big Bend. The ship suddenly turned hard to starboard while maneuvering and had to drop anchor to avoid an allision. The ship was detained for inspections. On July 20 it was still moored at Santos outer Anchorage in pos. 24° 8.86' S 046° 17.72' W.
