    The Bosphorus is closed to maritime traffic today for the 7th International Yacht Races. Some ferry services are canceled; updates advised.

    The Istanbul Strait has been temporarily closed to maritime traffic due to the 7th International Yacht Races organized by the Presidency, which will take place today.

    In a statement made by the City Lines, it was announced that passage through the strait would be halted on Thursday, April 23, 2026, as part of the race organization, and that some ferry services would be canceled.

    Authorities stated that maritime traffic would return to normal after the races are completed safely. Citizens were advised to follow current service information through official channels to avoid any inconvenience.

    Cancellations in Ferry Services

    Due to the closure in the strait, some services have been canceled, particularly affecting urban transportation. It was noted that there may be delays on certain routes. Passengers were advised to consider alternative transportation options.
