Indian Shipping Minister confirms MSV Faize Noore Oliya sank off Yemen, but all 14 crew members, including 13 Indians, survived the attack.
India's Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, stated that an Indian cargo ship sank as a result of an attack off the coast of Yemen, and announced that all crew members survived the attack.
An attack was carried out on the Indian cargo ship MSV Faize Noore Oliya off the coast of Yemen. Minister Sonowal indicated that the ship, which was hit by explosive munitions, capsized and sank, and reported that 14 crew members aboard, including 13 Indians, survived the attack.
Sonowal conveyed that the crew was rescued by Yemeni coast guard teams, stating, 'I have instructed the Director General of the Maritime Administration (DGMA) to take urgent measures in coordination with all agencies to ensure the absolute safety of Indian sailors in the region and to provide all necessary assistance to the rescued crew.'
