International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Secretary-General Emeritus William A O'Neil has died at the age of 93, reports the Hong Kong Ship Owners Association. Mr O'Neil was the Secretary-General of the IMO from 1990 until 2004, and a former chief of the Canadian Coast Guard. The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) expressed their gratitude on behalf of the global shipping community for Mr O'Neil's incredible leadership over the years.
