In the morning of June 3, 2018, the 'Express Skiathos' suffered damage to the hydraulic system of the port side ramp when arriving at the port of Skiathos. The ship, which was operating the Volos - Skiathos route, had to disembark all 115 passengers whp were transferred onto another ship of the Hellenic Seaways company and moved to their destinations. The port authority of Skiathos banned the 'Express Skiathos' from sailing until the damage was repaired.
