HONG KONG's TS Lines (TSL) and KMTC (Korean Marine Transport Company) are to join Heung-A to replace STX Pan Ocean in the reorganisation of a Korea-China-Thailand (KCT) weekly service from July 31.

The service will increased capacity following the exit of STX PO since filing for receivership with TSL and KMTC to provide the 1,709-TEU Tokyo Tower and KMTC's 1,626-TEU KMTC Singapore and Heung-A's 1,440-TEU Cape Faro. This will replace those deployed by Heung-A of 1,118-TEU FPMC Container 10 and the 1,085-TEU Svendborg Strait. Both ships that will be sent back to owners. Slot-sharing by Heung-A will ontinue to be from Chun Kyung (CK Line).

The service will have a three-week turnaround and rotate through Incheon, Qingdao, Shanghai, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Xiamen and back to Incheon.

This makes the second service for Hong Kong's TSL to provide coverage to the Korea-China-Thailand market in addition to its twice-weekly China-Hong Kong-Thailand (CHT), also jointly run by KMTC.

KMTC will offer a total coverage in seven NE Asia-Thailand loops when it begins its service on the KCT in early August.
