Hong Kong's Kerry Logistics opens new office in Portugal HONG KONG's Kerry Logistics has opened a new office in Portugal as part of on-going expansion plans in Europe, the company has announced.

Kerry now operates in 40 countries and territories worldwide.

 "Portugal is an exciting market as well as an international gateway for three continents, and we are delighted to be opening a branch there," said Porto-based Kerry Logistics country manager Mario Silva.

 "Our new office will enhance our existing freight network in Europe while giving customers greater access to markets across Africa and South America, and in particular Brazil," he said.

 The new office is part of the logistics provider's on-going strategy of building its presence and network across the European continent.

 Kerry Logistics (Portugal) will provide freight forwarding solutions through air, ocean and road freight, along with sea-air services, warehousing and distribution, insurance and risk management and customs brokerage, said the release.

 Portugal is serviced by three international airports, located near Lisbon, Porto, and Faro, and ports in Porto (Leixoes), Lisbon and Sines, a deepwater port.
