On July 4, 2018 the 'Raba' ran aground short time after having sailed from the port of Liepaja at 2 p.m. The accident happened close to the southern breakwater. No leaks or serious damages were reported. The ship had veered out of the fairway and then got stuck by yet unknown causes. The Latvian tugs 'Tak 1' (IMO: 7403196), 'Tak 5' (IMO: 7237262) and 'Tak 7' () were deployed to refloat the ship. On July 5 it was still stuck off the port in pos. 56° 31.87' N 020° 56.61' E.
