    Fatsa's Ordu University celebrates graduation and opens a new Maritime Training Center to enhance maritime education and industry collaboration.

    Graduation Excitement in Fatsa

    Tamer Kıran, Chairman of the Board of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping (DTO), and his accompanying delegation attended the graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 Academic Year held at Ordu University Fatsa Faculty of Marine Sciences, as well as the opening program of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping Maritime Training Center.

    The graduation ceremony organized by the Department of Maritime Business Management at Ordu University Fatsa Faculty of Marine Sciences was conducted with high participation and great enthusiasm.

    The program was attended by Ordu Governor Muammer Erol, Ordu University Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Baş, Fatsa District Governor Avni Kula, Fatsa Mayor İbrahim Etem Kibar, Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Özkan Uğurlu, Deputy Dean Nihan Şenbursa, along with members of the Board of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping Burak Akartaş, Barış Dillioğlu, and İsmail Görgün, Education and Employment Commission Chairman Teoman Mustafa Akyol, Commission Vice Chairman Cihat Yavuz Güler, commission members, council members, industry representatives, academics, students, and their families.

    As the students received their diplomas, they experienced the joy of graduation, while their families shared in this proud moment.

    Maritime Training Center Opens

    Following the graduation program, the protocol members inaugurated the 'İMEAK Chamber of Shipping Maritime Training Center,' which was established by the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping at Ordu University Fatsa Faculty of Marine Sciences.

    After the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, the delegation toured the center and received information from officials about the facility. The center, which aims to contribute to the training of qualified human resources needed in the maritime sector, is expected to provide significant support to students' practical training processes.

    It was emphasized that the Maritime Training Center, implemented by the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping, is an important investment that will contribute to the development of maritime education and the future of the sector, with the goal of strengthening practical training and advancing university-industry collaboration.
