The GBD Year-End Dinner on December 16 gathered 500 maritime stakeholders, celebrating achievements and future initiatives in the sector.

The 11th Traditional Year-End Dinner organized by the Ship Brokers Association (GBD) took place on December 16 at the Şahane Cabaret Bostancı, attracting numerous stakeholders from the maritime sector.

With approximately 500 attendees, the event showcased a vibrant atmosphere, bringing together national and international maritime stakeholders, NGO representatives, and maritime media.

A special area was designated for companies sponsoring the upcoming 7th Bosphorus Shipbrokers Dinner, scheduled for June 26, 2026. Notably, many companies have already committed to sponsorship, solidifying the event's reputation as a brand within the maritime sector.

During the evening, GBD Chairman Onur Türkeş invited Board Members to the stage to deliver a speech. Türkeş reflected on the busy year of 2025, highlighting strong collaborations and activities that added value to the sector.

He emphasized the significant responsibilities undertaken through training programs, panels, university collaborations, and active participation in international platforms. Türkeş also noted the association's social responsibility efforts, including the creation of a Memorial Forest with 2,000 saplings, support for earthquake-affected families, and scholarships for students.

Türkeş expressed gratitude to the sponsors of the 7th Bosphorus Ship Brokers Dinner, stating that their contributions not only bolster the association's initiatives but also enhance the international visibility of Turkish brokering.

In his address, Türkeş acknowledged the growing strength of the association, attributing it to the support of its members and sector solidarity. He thanked all members and stakeholders, wishing for success, health, and new opportunities in 2026, and concluded with hopes for peace and tranquility in Turkey and worldwide.

The event concluded with a New Year celebration following Türkeş's speech.
