    FUJIAN provincial ports posted a year-on-year 17.4 per cent increase in inbound and outbound overall cargo volume to 15.52 million tonnes in the first 10 months, according to Fujian Department of Transport.

    Waterway-to-water transshipments in the period came to 10.44 million tonnes, a 44.6 per cent year-on-year increase.

     In the first three quarters, collective inbound and outbound cargo through the ports in Fujian province increased 15.6 per cent to 13.87 million tonnes. Water-water transshipments were up 41.8 per cent to 9.18 million tonnes. Sea-rail transshipments declined 15.4 per cent to 4.68 million tonnes affected by rail freight rate hike.
