Frigate joins search for missing crew members
The Brazilian frigate "Rademaker" arrived in the area where the "Stellar Daisy" sank on Apr 6 in order to join the search for the 22 crew members. In addition, three merchant ships an one aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force were involved in the SAR operation which started on March 31 when the National Navy received an emergency satellite signal from the ship 2000 nautical miles from the port of Montevideo. Also the "General Artigas" and the "Garrico" were to join the search. Until now, apart from the two rescued crew members only fuel, parts of the ship and empty lifeboats have been found.
