Freighter in collision with fishin gvessel off Vietnam
Ten fishermen from the Khanh Hoa province were rescued after their f/v "KH 93968" was hit by the "Koralia" 24 miles off the southern coast of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on March 17, 2017. The freighter was enroute from Laem Chabang to Ho Chi Minh port. Upon receiving the emergency signal from the fishing vessel, a nearby fishing boat arrived and saved the fishermen, who were in good condition. Their boat was towed to port. The competent authorities were conducting an investigation into the case. The "Koralia" berthed at the Saigon Petro Oil Terminal at 10.15 p.m.
